You Can Skate serves middle and high school students across the Greater Houston area, including Katy, Cypress, Richmond, Tomball, and Houston.

Because financial barriers exist across multiple school districts, we partner with local schools, neighborhood organizations, and community supporters to ensure students have access to school-based extracurricular participation.

Our goal is simple: remove financial barriers so students can show up, participate, and stay connected, wherever the need exists.
Program Fees
Removing the 'Pay-to-Play' barrier by covering registration costs for school-sponsored sports, band, and extracurricular activities.
Gear & Equipment
Providing the essential tools for success, from cleats and instruments to uniforms and safety gear, so every student is ready to perform.
Nutritional Support
Fueling student-athletes and performers with healthy snacks and meal assistance to ensure they have the energy to compete and excel.

You Can Skate is actively expanding our outreach across the Houston metro area to ensure
more students have access to school-sponsored programs.
We collaborate with local businesses, schools, community leaders, and neighborhood organizations to identify areas where financial barriers limit student involvement, and we work together to remove those obstacles.

Our Foundation: Why We Skate
Skating was my anchor growing up. It kept me active, connected, and focused. It pushed me to get more involved in school and in sports, and it showed me what participation can do for a young person’s confidence.

Today, You Can Skate carries that same belief forward. We remove financial barriers that keep students on the sidelines so they can fully participate in school-based activities.
