You can Skate Outreach

The Equip & Engage - Youth Outreach Program:

The Equip & Engage Youth Outreach Program, offered through You Can Skate, supports students who want to participate in school extracurriculars, but whose families can’t afford the hidden costs that come with them.

That’s where we step in - We represent families who are working hard but still struggle to afford these extra costs. Too often, parents must decide between keeping the lights on and letting their child join a sports team or athletic summer camp. These decisions don’t just affect one child; they shape our communities for generations.

Equip & Engage exists to remove those barriers since every child deserves the chance to participate, connect, and grow with confidence.

Who This Program is For:

Our Outreach Program is designed for families and students who require a little extra support to stay active, connected, and confident, both in school and beyond.

Whether you're:

  • A student who wants to participate in school activities, but the cost is a barrier.

  • A parent looking for help covering sports, band, or the child's school's summer camp fees.

  • A young person who could use mentorship, encouragement, or a boost of confidence.

  • A family navigating tough times but still wanting their child to grow and stay engaged.

You’re not alone — and you don’t have to go without!

We step in to support with:

  • Sports gear and equipment – so kids can participate fully, without the stress of cost

  • Summer camp fee assistance – covering school-sponsored camps that help students stay active and connected

  • Game day meal support – ensuring no student goes hungry while representing their school

  • Coming Soon: Free strength & conditioning training
